Leicester Riders Announce Rob Jarram As Head Of Foundation And Performance Pathway

Leicester Riders are excited to announce the appointment of Rob Jarram as the new Head of the Leicester Riders Foundation and Performance Pathway.

In this role, Rob will not only continue the Foundation’s vital charitable work across Leicestershire but will also focus on strengthening the Academy pathway, promoting the growth of youth basketball in the region.

This appointment highlights the Club’s commitment to nurturing its youth development system. Partnerships with Loughborough University, Charnwood College, and the Foundation’s Academy are crucial for the Club’s long-term success and the overall advancement of British basketball.

The Academy plays a significant role in making basketball accessible to hundreds of children through collaborations with local schools and basketball clubs, promoting inclusivity and increasing participation in the sport.

Rob’s extensive experience in sports, including a decade at Loughborough College as Sports Development Manager, makes him well-equipped to elevate the Academy to new heights in player development.

Previously, his company, Everymind Performance, partnered with Leicester Riders, Charnwood, and Loughborough players to enhance their performance both on and off the court. This collaboration was instrumental in achieving the Club’s mission of improving player performance within its youth system while also preparing them for successful transitions into adulthood.

Rob also has a personal connection to the Riders. His brother, Mark Jarram, served as Head Coach of Loughborough University Riders for eight seasons. Rob aims to continue his brother’s legacy of player development in Leicestershire through his work with the Leicester Riders Foundation’s pathway.

Reflecting on his new role, Rob said, “Leicester Riders, whether through work or leisure, has been a part of my life since I was 14 years old. I’m thrilled to lead areas of the club that have such a significant impact on so many young people and adults.

“My goal is to build on the strengths within our Foundation and Performance Programmes while also expanding our offerings and raising our standards of delivery.

“Ultimately, it’s all about our community, both as a club and as a sport, and the future of British basketball.”
